If you could also suggest how I can propagate the Stevia once I get the plants that would be awesome.
Thanks, Mart
*
Hi Mart,
It is best to take cuttings from May thru August.
Take the top 4 inches of a branch.
Dip in rooting powder for soft cuttings.
Fill a 1" to 2" pot with a very open potting mix.
Make a hole in the center with a pencil.
Stick cutting in hole 1" to 1.5" deep.
Water until very wet and dripping, repeat 2 to 3 times a day.
Mist every 60 to 90 minutes (or as needed) for the first week.
Mist every 2 to 3 hours (or as needed) the 2nd week.
Mist 3 to 5 times a day (or as needed) the 3rd week.
Should be well rooted by then.
Thanks,
Steve Marsden

Why my stevia leaves are very small in comparison is there another methods to make big leaves?
*
There are many things that effect the size of the Stevia leaves such as the source of the plants, the soil fertility, or the age of the plants.

I am interested in hydroponic-ing these indoors, but i want to start from seeds cause the soil replacement i am using could start a bad fungus, my hope is to have about 5 plants and i would like to start them soon, as the local plant places tell me its almost time for them to order plants in. My question is, do you have seeds, and how do i buy them? I have seen them on amazon but i want all dark seeds and i would like to have blackbird seeds if at all possible, my use of the plant will simply be to eat the leaves and if its not a good sweet leaf than whats the point?
thanks

My suggestion is to buy our plants and take cuttings from them to put into your hydroponic system. Thanks, Steve

Your information has been of great help in doing some research, though we are currently looking for information to planting a hectare or more in Chile. One of the things I am having a hard time finding is accurate figures of harvest weights and sale pricing per ton,(dried leaves). I may call you in the short time. Thanks Steve.

Most Sincerely
Alan R. Stevenson

* Yes call. I am glad to help.

Stevia is a very interesting and forgiving plant and will grow almost anywhere in the world where the temperatures stay above 60 degrees F. In the Philippines it might do better at higher elevations with the brighter light. You may also need to protect it from too much moisture by planting it on hills or elevated beds.

Hello herbal,'
I am from Davao, Philippines. I have confusions in the use of terms of seasons like spring, summer, fall and winter, because It was mentioned to harvest in the fall. In the Philippines we don't have 4 seasons, what we have is only dry and wet, hence, what is that particular month/s to start harvest Stevia in the Philippines? or the best month to start planting? Also what is the best elevation range suited for Stevia planting?
Thanks a lot and Best Regards

We sell Stevia plants from cuttings. We do not recommend growing Stevia from Seed.
